Being a busy Jane-of-all-trades who is always on the go, as many dancers are, it can be challenging to stay healthy and hydrated. So I often to turn juices to keep me feeling energized and to ward off illness. But I am not talking about sugary fruit juices, which often contain more additives than juice. I am talking about fresh juices made from fruits and veggies, in which the ingredients can be counted on one hand.
*A juicer is required for this recipe.
What you’ll need:
- 1 beet, chopped
- 5 carrots, chopped
- 1 green apple, cored and chopped
- 1/4 fresh mint sprigs
And…
The great part about juicing is there is no way or right way to do it. Simply press the ingredients through a juicer, stir, and enjoy!
For those who don’t want to invest in the expense or time of juicing, Whole Foods and natural food stores sell already-made juices that will give the same boost. Be sure to read the ingredients list through, and be wary of anything that doesn’t grow on a tree, vine, bush, or in the ground.
Happy juicing!
