DAYS TOGETHER from Spaces of otherness on Vimeo. After he picked up and moved to Düsseldorf to dance for Ballett am Rhein, Atlanta-born dancer and Ailey/Fordham grad Marquet K. Lee sought both an outlet for choreographic play and a break from his day job. He found that opportunity in the project he initiated with Wun Sze Chan, a co-worker whom Lee felt shared his dance language. The resulting years-long collaboration and its culminating dance work, called days together, was documented by videographer Michael Maurissens in the studio where it was created . We’re thrilled to say that it will also live on in print, in a long-form conversation with { Dd }’s Lara Wilson featured in our inaugural journal. Watch the dance above, then pre-order Issue 01 here.
